#127 Painted Wolf Lightning Sauvignon Blanc 2020

The qualities of this wine epitomise what the HanDrinksSolo Wine Community is all about. Insane quality, fascinating winemaking techniques, and paradigm shifting flavour profiles. Of course we could add small-batch (only 3500 bottles made) or award-winning (Platter’s 4.5 star, & Concours du Mondial Gold medal) but those are added bonuses, not core essentials.
🔬As for what’s actually *in* the bottle, the fruit is all from Walker bay, and consists of 88% Sauvignon Blanc 88% and 12% Semillon. The Sauvignon Blanc is from the Vaalvlei vineyard in Stanford (close to the ocean; decomposed granite soil). The Semillon is from the Robert Stanford vineyard. Grapes for this wine were hand-picked, sorted and whole-bunch pressed. Only native yeasts were used, andf the juice was fermented in a combination of large French oak barrels and a fermentation egg. The wine also went through malolactic conversion.

Too right, Dave! So sorry we couldn't get more! The stash sold out so quickly! But there is a new vintage on the way!
