#135 Magna Carta Mizwa White Merlot 2017

A fascinating small-batch wine (only 1300 bottles produced) from Mphumi Ndlangisa’s Magna Carta Wines. Made according to natural winemaking principles, with fruit sourced from organic vineyards and vinified with no sulphur additions or fining agents.

🧐 Contrary to what one might expect, while this is not an amber wine (obviously, because that would make it in fact a red wine) it has the hallmarks of another gender bender…red fruit notes in a white wine, notes of nectarine coming from a merlot grape. Elements of apple, but red not green. You know that whole malarkey.
🔬Simonberg fruit, baskety pressed. Fermented in Stainless steel. Zero skin contact.
