🧑🏻‍🌾 Kaapzicht is an estate with both a rich past, and a clear view of the future. Run by four consecutive generations of the Steytler family, the farm has been in state of flux since Danie Steytler Jr took over from his dad (Danie Snr).

Pinotage has been the grape to build the legacy, but given Stellenbosch’s focus Cabernet Sauvignon, that same cultivar won’t necessarily define its future.

💰This Bottelary Hills Bordeaux blend is Danie Jr’s bid to make Kaapzicht a household brand, leveraging both the reputation of Stellenbosch Cabernet and the rising reputation of the Bottelary ward within Stellenbosch. It is an impressive little bottling that punches significantly above its R150 price tag.

🔬 A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz. Crushed and destemmed prior to fermentation. Matured in French oak for 16 – 18 months.
