Henry Kotze has blazed a trail as one of the country’s authorities in the field of vinifying Italian cultivars in South Africa. Most of his work has been done under the Morgenster label, but he has also vinified an award-winning Vermentino for Ayama/Slent Farms.

Pilgrim Wines is Henry’s debut solo voyage, finally getting to make some incredible exciting wines under his own label. This Chenin Blanc is an absolute cracker of a first vintage, combining native yeasts, some skin contact, and 34 year old vines.
