👃🏼 Vanguard carries sweet peach, sea spray, chalk dust & pineapple.
👄 Mouthfeel is pleasantly concentrated. Viognier-inspired stone fruit speaks the loudest, with hints of winter melon, and lovely, tall, lemon-sorbet acidity. Tail end is spicier than an episode of Love Island with white pepper and nutty apricot kernel elements lingering with some citrus rind.
🔬 It’s abit of an odd duck; 65% Riesling, 18% Chard, 16% Viognier...& 1% Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes were lightly pressed and clear juice was fermented cold, where the eventual wine was left to evolve on the primary lees…seemingly for an undisclosed period of time.
