Die Hart Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Gentle Giant goes rogue.

Niels Verburg is famous for his enormous Shirazes from Botrivier. Which makes this more gently-styled Walker Bay Cabernet Sauvignon something of an anomaly. 

The style of this wine is a reference to the leafy, “bell peppers & herbs” cabernets of the 1960 & 1970s, but with some lovely waves of fairly ripe fruit, and decent structure on the tail.  Matured in all old oak.
