It’s a little like that flick, Legally Blonde. The poster portrays something “pink and frivolous”, but when you engage with it, you end up with a multi-layered, straight-to-the-heart, serious, old-fashioned life lesson. Ye with pink drink prejudice, beware.
👃🏼 Aromas carry cherry candy, lovely serious savoury sourdough leesy elements, flint.
👄 Palate carries fresh red cherry and pomegranate acidity, which keeps a superbly leesy mouthfeel in check. More textured than a corduroy jockstrap. Tart ruby grapefruit on the tail.
🔬 Swartland fruit; 100% Grenache Noir. Free run juice, settled in stainless steel tanks. No enzymes added. Transferred to 500l old french barrels. Fermentation & malolactic conversion both take place in barrel. Matured a further 7 months in barrel.
