Kanonkop is a huge deal in South African wine. Their little website slogan is “where the big guns roar”. Now, no one write something like that without sounding a little self-important, but if anyone can get away with it, it’s Kanonkop.

Paul Sauer, Jan Boland Coetzee, the world famous Beyers Truter (who went on to found Beyerskloof) and of course Kanonkop’s current winemaker, the incredible Abrie Beeslaar are all part of a rich estate history that makes Kanonkop essential reading for anyone interested in South African wine.
