#182 Delheim Vera Cruz Shiraz 2014

A single vineyard across time and space

🍇 Vera Cruz is the pinnacle of Delheim’s Shiraz expression. It’s a single-vineyard bottling, named after the current matriarch, and is the result of three distinct sets of pickings, which deliver grape parcels with notably different characters.
🔬 Wine is fermented with a combination of native and lab yeasts, and undergoes malolactic conversion in 500l barrels. It then spends another 15 months in 500l barrels, of which 30% of these barrels are new. All components are finally racked into a set of 2nd and 3rd fill barrels for another 3 months.
